Create a Caption

We have all seen the ads.  We have all seen the couples lying in their individual bathtubs blissfully staring off into a beautiful sunset.  And we have all wondered, what the hell is with the bathtubs?

Here is your chance to poke a little fun at the tub logo courtesy of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Caption Contest. You provide the caption for the cartoon.   The official contest is over but you can still have fun here at Navigating The Finite.

Think of a caption for the cartoon and post it in the comments below.  Alas there are no prizes.

For the real contest and the winning captions, see:

  1. It is the no prize that keeps me from making up a caption, not mental laziness.

    1. Ha! I try to maintain the spiritual purity of an intellectual challenge, and you are caught up in the unbridled vulgar pursuit of mammon.

    1. Oh c'mon, its a caption, not a trigonometry problem.

  3. "I'm going to have to give you a fix-it ticket. One headlight is higher than the other ma'am!"

That's the best I can do. Was trying to work the cell phone law in there, but couldn't come up with anything!

  4. Ha! I went to go look at the winning captions and one of them was about headlights too! And frankly, I think my caption was better than that one! :)

    (Well, I had to try).
    what's a Cialis?

  6. Fiftyodd,

Good one. Cialis is a widely advertised on TV and print medium prescription for erection dysfunction in the US. Its claim to fame over Viagra is that unlike the short window of opportunity provided by Viagra, one has a 36 hours window of opportunity, thus providing a more relaxed and natural romantic endeavor. When the drug first appeared in the market place, the final scene of the commercial was the couple in separate tubs looking at a sunset, photo above. This seems to be a strange venue for a man that has just taken an erection enhancing drug.

The tubs have become a logo for Cialis, lower image.

I would like to remind readers that the goal here is to provide a caption about the cartoon, and not any cracks about Sextant's apparent deep knowledge on drugs for ED.

Fiftyodd, always a pleasure, thank for stopping by and captioning.

  7. This is my thought this evening...
The Cialis ad on TV needs to add this to the list of adverse possibilities, twin tub tickets may occur while taking this medication.
